Disagree. I believe they believe that’s exactly what needs to be done and Russia is bluffing about using Nukes.
Same people who concluded that "sanctions" would destroy the RF economy and end a military conflict precipitated by the most obvious coup in the history if coups.
The research and opinion "rank and file" in the US security state, at this point in time, are predominantly products of post modern influenced education. They fervently believe that they have greater insight and understanding because the "arc of history" favors certain groups. Our security state has been captured by groups of individuals with Dunning Kruger type confidence. The trouble is that lightning bolts and electric chairs arc, not history.
