I don’t understand. I read right here on FR way back in the Summerthat Russia was defeated, all their soldiers were dead, and Putin was facing a palace coup while he lay dying.

And Russias economy will be caput to...

While the ruble has strengthened, but only because the government has made it difficult for Russian businesses and individuals to withdraw money and convert it to foreign currency. The so-called strong ruble is propped up by draconian currency controls and a plunge in imports. This policy has badly hurt industries like the steelmaking sector: finished steel output contracted by over seven percent in 2022.

Policymakers criticizing sanctions point to the Russian Finance Ministry’s projection that the country’s GDP will contract by 2.7 percent, which would seem to undermine the contention that the economy is tanking. Note, however, that this GDP figure includes surging military-related production. A newly produced battle tank immediately sent to the front and shot by a Ukrainian Javelin missile still counts as a nominal contribution to Russian GDP.

There won’t be anything left of Ukraine by the end of this year.

Did Mark Milley get his top job because of sexual kink, pigmentation, grievance group, commie ideology or powerful grandfather?

I forgot.

I know this much, he sure as hell didn’t get his job based on merit, competence or intelligence. Miley - like the rest of the DC ‘elites’/incompetents - can’t win a war against a stone age culture like Afghanistan but wants to start a nuclear war that’ll kill most Americans. Can’t get more ‘DC’ than that.

Wait, I thought Ukraine was crushing it and Russia was on the brink? And isn’t the insane Putin supposed to be dead by now?

A former officer told me it will take 2 to 3 years.

He did think it’s possible because of Russia’s logistical weaknesses, and the 70,000 mechanized troops which will join Ukraine in May.

Russia will lose more ground and it may be possible they lose Crimea within 2-3 years.

I don’t think fatboy has much combat experience. Looks like he spent most of his time hanging around the PX and clothing sales buying medals.

I am not sure the Russian people are that tolerant. Especially when their home territory is not threatened.

Do the Russian people believe the Crimea is home territory? The question then is how the Russian people react when Ukraine attempts to recover the Crimea. They could declare it a Great Patriotic War II and rise up to crush Ukraine.

Posting articles does not reflect one’s beliefs. Both sides are always refreshing for debate.
That said, even though it is obvious Vlad is winning, support neither Zelensky nor Putin, nor anyone pushing for war, war, war instead of Peace.
