Lots of people won’t believe you, but I’ve had friends, who just happen to be gay, (not that there is anything wrong with that), who have told me it is not rare for a gay man to have had literally thousands of sexual partners.
It's true. I've worked with gay men and known some as acquaintances. Straight people have no idea the sheer promiscuity of gay men.
It's like this. Dudes are always horny. It doesn't matter if they're gay or straight. We always want sex. In heterosexuality, women act as the gatekeepers, the check valve on a man's sex drive. Women don't always want sex. So unless a dude is spending all of his money on hookers, his sex life is largely limited to when the women in his life want to have sex, which isn't nearly as often as he wants it.
Gay men have no such gatekeeper or check valve. They're surrounded by other men who are always as horny as they are.
"Hey, we just met but do you wanna go to an orgy tonight?" "Sure! Sounds great!"
The funny thing is, we were told that if gays could just get married, they'd stop the promiscuous behavior and be monogamous like most of the rest of us.
