One thing you can say about DeSantis is that he sticks to his guns once he makes a decision. He also seems to hire competent attorneys to represent the State on his decisions.

He “upheld” the firing because he basically said the case doesn’t belong in his court. I hate this when it happens to cases conservative people bring.

Once again Florida Gov Ron DeSantis leads the way in dealing with misguided District Attorneys.
Now we have about 30 other GOP Governors, so why are not these other spineless GOP Governors doing the same???????????????

Lengthy decision to read through. This was a Clinton appointed leftist judge who was very hostile to DeSantis and took every opportunity to bash him and give effusive praise to Warren. However, even he knew he could not rule for Warren. His take on Warren not having a blanket prohibition on certain prosecutions was laughable. The presumption was not to prosecute and attorneys in the office would have to go through hoops to prosecute. The attorneys in the office said that they took it as a blanket order to not prosecute. If Warren had said “you can prosecute these cases when pigs fly,” this judge would argue that was proof it was a case by case discretion and wasn’t a blanket ban on prosecution.

DeSantis isn’t afraid of our local liberal ‘press’ either. They’ll hate him even more for winning this one.

US District Judge Robert Hinkle said in his opinion Friday that DeSantis’ suspension of Andrew Warren, the ousted state attorney for Hillsborough County, violated the First Amendment and Florida’s Constitution, but as a federal judge, he could not rule against a state official based only on the violation of state law.Robert Hinkle is a Senior Moment federal "judge" who was appointed stooge by Rapin Bill Clinton.
