Try a 150,000, minus all the men that fled before the conflict (probably another million).

150,000 out of 44 million= 0.0034 of the population

Men didn't leave Ukraine, pretty much just women and children. There is a law banning their exit.

"It also said the Russian army was using its own soldiers like cannon fodder in Bakhmut, Spiegel added."

Losses in WW1 England

Over the course of the war(WW1), 880,000 British forces died, 6% of the adult male population and 12.5% of those serving.

“ Men didn’t leave Ukraine, pretty much just women and children.”

Really? Tell that to Reverend Mother’s favorite unemployed Ukrainian airline pilot propagandist who slickly avoids being drafted and ordered into the very busy meat grinders.

Britain has never fully recovered from the 2 world wars.
Their standard of living is’nt comparable to our own, even after 75 years.
Britainia no longer rules the waves and the sun has set on the Empire.
