What’s the workweek in France? 35 hours. What’s short in hours is long in years.


A more relevant question would be how many weeks do they work in a year? As I understand it, they get a lot of days off, both for holidays and vacation days. They have a lot of government-guaranteed benefits. All that said, mock the French if you will, but they are not afraid to go on strike if they think they are being messed with by their government.

Which, like Obamacare, is no guarantee, except guaranteed to make things more dysfunctional, convoluted, expensive, and destructive.

The nationality is immaterial. It's the mindset.

When the root operating principle is that the government gives because government rules, soap box --> ballot box --> benefits box --> pine box.

So many fresh flowers!

Old mentalities die hard.
