What this conflict has revealed to me is how weak Russia really is. It has almost been a year and it can’t successfully win a war against the Ukraine. My fears for the Baltics and Poland have really relaxed.

Russia lost to Japan in the 1904-05 Russo-Japanese War, and then to Poland in the 1920-21 Russo-Polish War. Without Germany invading Poland, couldn't have won a war against it in 1939. Finland fought the Soviets losing only a little territory in the 1939-40 Russo-Finnish War, and the Soviets couldn't win a battle against Germany before the West send aid and a British fighter squadron. This is just another Russian war for the 21st Century to add to the list.

Yes it is funny how many leave out the part of American support for Russia leading to WWII. People also like the downplay how horrible the Russian regime was focusing on the Nazis instead. But yes the USA was supporting Russia even though she was not part of the war. She technically was in the war in my opinion as that is what FDR wanted.
