The College Board...has launched a pilot version of an AP African-American Studies (APAAS) course, to great fanfare in the mainstream press.....
On January 12...Florida governor Ron DeSantis wrote a letter to the College Board informing it that Florida was rejecting its request for state approval of APAAS. The letter, from the Florida Department of Education’s Office of Articulation, goes on to state that, “as presented, the content of this course is inexplicably contrary to Florida law and significantly lacks educational value.” At the same time, the letter notes that “in the future, should College Board be willing to come back to the table with lawful, historically accurate content, FDOE will always be willing to reopen the discussion.”

Local Miami media will certainly go along.
More Florida news. The attacks on Ron DeSantis by the media continue.
(Note: National Review is NOT attacking Ron, but the rest of the media is...)
Gotta give him credit for having some stones.
"Last October, North Carolina’s James G. Martin Center submitted a public-records request calling on the lab school of Florida State University, where we know that APAAS is being piloted, to release the curriculum and associated materials."
We have a core of GOP governors demonstrating how now is the time to kill the federal dep of ed - we can clean up ed in our GOP states, via our GOP state governments taking control of what passes as an education “curriculum”.

Ping
DeSantis should next come out and say that “Roots” was a made up story.
You must have missed post #4, genius.
"CATPISS is being used in Florida, in the freaking capital, no less, so why hasn't DeSantis arrested FSU President Richard McCullough?"Last October, North Carolina’s James G. Martin Center submitted a public-records request calling on the lab school of Florida State University, where we know that APAAS (CATPISS) is being piloted, to release the curriculum and associated materials."
"We know that APAAS is being piloted (at Florida State University K-12 School - considered one of the most prestigious K-12 public schools in the Panhandle!), to release the curriculum and associated materials."
DeSantis is supposedly objecting to APAAS but DeSantis has permitted APAAS to be a prominent part of the featured woke-azz curriculum at Florida State University's on-campus K-12 school for 2 years! So his 'objection' is completely hollow. He should have stopped this garbage dead in its tracks 2 years ago, but gosh what does it remind me of? Hmmm. Hmmmm. Oh wait, I know (LOFL).
This is the same weakazz limp-d!ck shit DeSantis did with his "Stop WOKE Act" -- he took 3 1/2 years to pass it!
You best be doing more research, Joe, and discover these Florida nightmares for yourself. Certainly Trump's people are. You're being sold a Bill of Goods with this Goobernor; and there's no pleasure in continually schooling everyone on the pathos that inhabits "Florida Man" DeSantis and everything he touches.
Suckers who jump on the Ronlim bandwagon are going under the wheels, from here to Super Tuesday 2024 when DeSantis loses Florida to Trump and is forced to withdraw from the 2024 GOP Primary in humiliation.
I must say, that is one rambling diatribe you've penned there, my good fellow. Train of thought on steroids, or something... Plus it's so stuffed full of silly, misspelled pejoratives... that has to win some sort of prize. You appear so fixated on hating DeSantis that you are no longer capable of rational thought. Are you sure there aren't some reptile aliens in there somehow?
Your derisive monologue is the sort of craziness we here on FR used to make great fun of when we saw it over on Democrat Underground. Congratulations. That's some great company you're keeping there.
