Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Wednesday rejected praise from fellow Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz for her new committee assignments and instead criticized him over the days-long House speaker battle to elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy earlier this month.
Gaetz commended Greene after she landed seats on the Homeland Security Committee and Oversight Committee, having previously been stripped of serving on congressional panels two years ago over her past inflammatory statements and promotion of conspiracy theories.
"She's going to do amazing work for the people on these key committees she has EARNED," Gaetz tweeted Wednesday.
"Too bad we're weeks behind after you spent a week only getting MTV from 5 to 1," Greene responded to Gaetz on Twitter, referencing negotiations that took place during the speaker battle about a rule that would allow one lawmaker rather than five to initiate a vote to oust the speaker, otherwise known as a "motion to vacate."

She went right into McCarthy’s lap.
Not even a peep from her. She’s lost.

I do fault MTG for acting on privileged information, not sharing the info with her constituents, and using the info to avoid personal losses. That was insider trading, and Congress has been doing this for years in various formats.
I traded well, and came back after the reopening with a vengence with my investments. I am now at an all time high this week. But the bunch of congresscritter’s trading on the insider information, was a bitter pill. MTG was not the only one who did this.
MTG cut a personal deal with McCarthy and got a good committee assignment, and that was why she was backing him. And then, she has the gall to engage Bobert in a shouting match, whe Bobert was standing up for conservatives?
MTG has become too big headed. She’s cruising for a bruising. Matt was pretty nice to her and that comeback was a loser.
She needs to go silent and just get things done. That’s way more powerful than shooting and yelling in every direction.
Put another way, MTG cannot be trusted.
Young people today are way to brash and loud.. Like their music....
Yes, a bit too cozy with McCarthy. Spouting off at Gaetz today was uncalled for, also.
The fighters got the best deals they could for the country, and should be admired for that, not chastised.
They all need to KITFO.
Rep. Marjorie Greene isn’t discerning the climate sh’s now a part of. ....wrongfully declaring herself as “the leading MAGA voice in Congress” is a step she should not have taken.....Has the position of power gone to her head, as happens to so many?
Our local elections produced another one like her only a guy a couple years ago.....it was awful! He constantly created turmoil and frustration during meetings asking stupid questions or making dumb remarks. A lot of time and energy was wasted so he could ‘mouth’ his senseless opinions and rants rather than get down to the business of running the city.
She needs to curtail her emotions.....this is often difficult for women like her to do but if they can’t they need to lt let someone else present the issues. Complaining or harping about the past is a time waster.
I’ve never been a MTG fan, but she did exactly what Trump told her to, even playing go-between between Trump, Boebert and Gaetz. Y’all talk about loyalty and then toss her under the bus for new shiny folks. Siding with Trump apparently cost her amongst her biggest supporters. Strange bunch.

Yes, she should shut up. I think some jealousy is showing. She misread the Zeitgeist in the House and therefore “miscalculated”. But, unlike Nancy Mace, I think MTG is a true America First patriot And will get over this.
That has become abundantly clear. Sad really.
I am not saying that MTG is a bad person or not useful to the conservative Republicans, only, like the insider trading on the COVID info, she got hers, you must get yours. She got her choice committee assignment, y’all are on your own. She is MTG first, then conservatives second. Probably many or most conservatives pols are this way. She is just more obvious. Still, very helpful to the conservatives so long as this point is abundantly clear.
