What is an absence seizure? When your brain is absent?
Pretty much. These seizures don’t have any thrashing around. I learned my son’s wrist would go into an odd position and he would be completely checked out.
Used to happen to my mom.
She would, “go away”…sometimes for a moment and as long as 10-30 seconds. The creepiest part was the doll eyes.
My mother in law had a stroke at the dinner table, with a mouth full of salad. It was like one of those movies where the character is just frozen, but others remain animated.
Neither case bode well for the women involved.
