The Republican Party Must Adapt to Win

The election for RNC Chairman on January 27 will be a referendum on two of the Republican Party’s foundational ideals: personal responsibility and accountability. After six years of losses and increasingly alienated voting and donor bases demanding change, our party needs fresh leadership, new vision, and fundamental changes to fulfill our promise to stakeholders.

With over 35 years of service and success in the conservative movement, I’m running for Chair of the RNC because the GOP must change or be relegated to permanent also-ran status. I’m committed to redefining what we count as success – and it isn’t more attempted voter contacts – it’s actually winning elections.

Democrats have out-raised us, out-organized us, out-performed us, and even out-lawyered us, consistently for years. Meanwhile, our base – the voters who knock on doors and write the small-dollar checks, are demoralized. Larger donors we count on to fund major programs have clearly expressed their support for change at the RNC too.

My first priority as RNC Chair will be to earn back the trust of our base through transparency and by applying the kind of fiscal conservatism that was once our hallmark.

Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:

  1. Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
  2. Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
  3. Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
  4. Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
  5. US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
  6. No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
  7. China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
  8. US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
  9. Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
  10. Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?

the 2009 Tea Party movement was the LAST organic, grass-roots conservative movement you will see for a long time.

The Trump MAGA movement was pure grass roots.

The Trump MAGA movement was pure grass roots.

And when they showed up in DC to protest the 2020 election, they were embroiled in a FBI-sponsored riot.

Your original comment said nothing about getting elected. You mentioned legislation. Totally different than "Getting elected". Although some did just that in 2022.

We lost another Virginia election this week. Not a peep. It was a red to blue seat. We need to do better. It use to be the democrats were lazy. It appears conservatives are the ones now.

The RNC was calling for appealing Obamacare.

Yes they were/are. Just because someone is calling for something doesn't mean they have the power to do so.

The job of the RNC/DNC is to get the best person in place and help them win an election. Nothing more, nothing less.

We need to rebuild the party as a conservative party, that should be the top priority. Then rebuild all the hacks running the state GOP party organization so that we have a ground game and a source of good conservative candidates, not party hacks.
