From a historical importance...

Honestly I’d put Juneteenth way above MLK.

Celebrating the ending of slavery is a far bigger deal than on man’s birthday.

Washington helped make this Nation happen.

Lincoln saved and preserved it.

MLK was an important historical figure, but I don’t believe he’s on that level.

And if the recent allegations about his personal behavior are true.. it’s disturbing on all sorts of levels.

Why not celebrate the official end of slavery on the date it happened? Is it to commemorate how lazy blacks are, that they took a few months to figure out what it meant?

I know, it was a delay, but it was a delay in Texas, not in the South where MOST of the black fellas lived.
