A failed New Mexico state house candidate described by police as an "election denier" was arrested Monday in a string of shootings at the homes of regional Democratic leaders.
Republican Solomon Pena is accused of conspiring with and paying four men to carry out four shootings at the Albuquerque-area homes of two Bernalillo County commissioners and two state legislators, Albuquerque police said.
The onetime candidate might have been motivated by anger over his November loss, police said. Albuquerque Police Department spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said at a news conference early Monday evening that Pena alleged his defeat was the result of election fraud.
Pena lost his state house challenge to incumbent Democrat Miguel P. Garcia, 5,679 to 2,033, or 74% to 26%.
The candidate took his case to three county commissioners and one state senator — some whose homes were targeted in the shootings — to no avail, Gallegos said.
"He had complaints about his election he felt being rigged," the spokesperson said. "As the mayor said, he was an election denier — he doesn’t want to accept the results of his election."

I have been waiting to see this type of behavior for a while now. In some cases, it appears to be warranted. For instance, many people have given up hope on the legal process from freeing the January 6th political prisoners to cleaning up the election process in some states. You can thank our two tier justice system for it.

My guess is, “Election Denier”/ “Election Denying” will soon be a Class 1 federal offense.

So this guy is already a convicted felon, got absolutely trounced in his race, and everyone in the thread so far is defending him. Holy cow freerepublic is going downhill.

A couple of elections ago, a Repub was ahead in a district by about 250 votes, very close. Then suddenly, a box of ballots appeared out of the trunk of a car that had been 'misplaced', and had all 300 votes for the Dem.

Yes, this guy is either a nut or a Dem plant meant to tarnish all other GOP election realists.
And also condemning democrats for doing a thing and then defending a republican for doing the exact same thing. It's crazy.
