Neither did the militia’s against the British. Ships & cannons vs. muskets. Between Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan it’s pretty clear that unless the larger, more well equipped, fighting force is prepared to lay waste to everything then men with simple weapons are a huge problem.
