You might be right. You know more than I do. Brain implants are advancing on many fronts and businesses. How about a simple flash card implant? To remember everything that happened last week and the last five years.

Possibly. It’ll be consumer driven.
Perhaps the wealthy will have advanced technology and regular folks will have flash card implants or interface implants (to access social media and all things now on your phone).
The intent for meta-world VR for the common man is to teach children empathy et al by allowing them to become a person of different race and experience ‘hate’ in order to learn compassion.
DARPA has been working with VR and nanotechnology for 5-6 years. Allowing soldiers to speak to headquarters and each other with only their mind.
In medicine (school) it is used to perform surgeries without the need for a human body.
There are of course good ideas for this technology, such as allowing folks to walk again, regain motor control and memory for folks with injuries and neurological disorders.
It’ll boil down to trust and that I lack at this point.
