This is one of Victor Davis Hanson’s common themes and refrains. The wealthy, lazy, guilt-ridden coastal elites are seeking some meaning in their miserable lives and turn to causes like climate where they can spend their fortunes. Thousands of them fly their Gulfstreams to Davos spewing millions of tons of CO2 to “save the earth.”
