Maybe the common people will be doing Soylent green, but who knows what the elites will be doing?
Everybody assumes that the “ELITE” will weather the societal breakdown in their hidden mountain, island, whatever fortresses; they wont.
They will be some of the first places that get taken when things get bad enough, you can’t hide deep enough or far enough when people are hungry.
They will have to be supplied with their steaks, vegetables, booze, caviar, and whores.
People will covertly follow those re-supply caravans then take them out.
Their hired security will not continue to protect them when they realize that money is now worthless and the only thing that matters is food, shelter and allies.
The rich and famous are not known to be the best of allies.
