Is anyone afraid of some fag? Homomisia is a better word than homophobia. A REVULSION of all things faggy.

Also works for transphobia and Islamophobia.

Much like how the OK symbol has been turned by the left into a symbol of white supremacy...

Interestingly enough, giving the OK symbol in Latin America often has a different connotation. I worked for a company where, when a a work crew won a production award, they wanted the crew to pose as a group making the "OK" sign, but all the Spanish speaking guys refused to do it. Turns out it is considered signaling that you're gay. You can probably imagine why.

So chanting...

"Push him back! Push him back! Harder! Harder!"

...is now a crime?

When I went to high school football games 50+ years ago, the chant from the bleachers was “Kick ‘em in the right knee! Kick ‘em in the left knee! Kick ‘em in the weenie, we need a touchdown!”

If you’re of a certain age you will recall Soho and Carnaby Street, the center of the 1960s counter culture phenomenon in London. Well that’s all around the borough of Chelsea where the football team plays. I suppose it has become a trendy upscale gay bar sort of scene now that the 60s have come and gone. This would be about a mile southwest of the Houses of parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, but still on the north side of the Thames (if I recall correctly from my student days a half century ago).

Arsenal is in working class east London and Tottenham and West Ham play out of a middle-class area located a few miles northwest of downtown London. The only team of note from south London is Crystal Palace who tend to come and go from the Premier league.

Outside of London I suppose all the team supporters who travel out of town for games get “the stick” from the local fans as London has about the same image in Britain as NYC has in the USA, or Paris in France. But Chelsea must now also have this gay overlay, that wouldn’t be directed at Arsenal supporters I would imagine.

From this snip I found it seems less a gay slur and more like calling the fans bandwagoners or something.

== Why are Chelsea fans called ‘rent boys’?
To put it briefly, this one is aimed at all the people who started to support Chelsea at the time of Roman’s takeover to liken those glory hunters to male prostitutes. ==

"Rent Boy"

Hah, in high school in the late 70s we used to make fun of our flagrantly gay English teacher and his accountant boyfriend by asking about when and how rent was due. Hell, in the late 80's even Robert Altman could freely make a movie based on the National Lampoon characters, OC and Stiggs, that mocked gay teachers.

Meanwhile, several top professional tennis players have been reprimanded recently by the over-board politically correct ATP for "homophobic" remarks, including the ever entertaining and very Italian male Fabio Fognini -- as if forcing Italians to not make gay jokes or derogatory references isn't itself a form of cultural oppression?

As the old ladies in Mel Brooke's "Silent Movie" said, "Fags!"

At my high school, the first male cheerleaders were harassed constantly. “Rootie toot toot, rottie toot toot. Who’s that fag in the cheerleading suit?”

I watch Premiere League matches on Peacock, but make sure to tune in after the start, as these wokers are still taking a knee. Keeps the blood pressure down that way.

Good thing that there isn't a team in the English soccer league from Marfa...they'd be called them “marfadites”....(Back in the 60’s when we played Marfa that was the way we could start an out and out brawl).

The USA's First Rent Boy paid $50,000 per month in rent. He won the Rent Boy of the Year crown!

Victorian morality could not accommodate the existence of rentboys

Victorian morality was decidedly superior to early 21st Century "morality".

I’m sure we conservatives can agree calling someone (on an opposing soccer team) a homosexual is wrong,

No. Actually being homosexual is wrong, though.
