My wife and I first had the Delta version about a year and a half ago. Her sister and her husband came up from California where Delta first gained a foothold in this country. They were sniffling, coughing and looking under the weather but they assured us that it could not be Covid because they had been vaccinated. A couple days after they left they called and told my wife that we had given them Delta... we had just started developing symptoms. It seemed worse than a normal cold/flu but we were better in about a week.
This likely gave us natural immunity that kept us illness free for the next year and a half despite multiple exposures. Unfortunately, our entire dental office, everyone of whom had been vaccinated and triple boosted... came down with Covid in the middle of November. Our tooth cleanings and exams were rescheduled for the third week of December. We didn't notice anyone who appeared symptomatic, but by Christmas both of us were very sick. It was worse than our previous bout with Covid. It seems to get better and then it gets worse.
I started taking the recommended vitamins, and supplements including zinc... they didn't seem to help. I started taking ivermectin today and am hopeful this will make a difference. This has had me screwed up for over three weeks. I haven't been really miserable for several days but have not been able to accomplish much of anything for fear of a relapse... My wife has been doing better than me but is still has not completely recovered either.
IIRC you are in the Seattle area? I am very sporadic in my use of the protocol vitamins for the last several months. I guess I should get back to them regular. It sounds like you’ve had a rough few weeks. I hope you are better soon.
I gave almost all of my ivermectin to my son who was battling chronic sinus and asthma. He said it seemed to help a lot. I did a bit of research and it has been used for asthma in trials with some success. I guess I should order some more.
