If the UK is warmer it follows that the EU is warmer, natch, and thus it becomes extremely rare for a mid-to-late-season back-door Arctic blast to develop, that then somehow progresses into the Continent without enveloping the UK.

The potential that the EU is going to go into the 'deep freezer' and stay there this 2022-2023 season is rapidly approaching zero.

A third? Not if you realize cold weather and the need for heating can persist through April. The only reason there isn’t a heating crisis yet is because Europe is going through a bit of a winter “heat wave” - kind of a providential save.

If this reverses next month Germany will be in for a world of hurt. Britain is already having a terrible time with heating bills.

I’m referring to climate in Europe, especially Northern Europe. Sometimes you need heating then, surely. But regardless, you have fuel now because of emergency supply from the US and others. That is unsustainable. American emergency reserves are falling steadily. Americans themselves have increasing energy bills and at some point will tire of saving Germany.
