Stalkers are problematic. I have one that’s diagnosed bipolar. It’s what I get for being nice to someone years ago. No matter how many times I have explained I cannot be that person they want me to be they keep popping up. It’s been years and over a dozen phone numbers blocked later. Last year I got texted a photo of my home. This year I got texts acknowledging I said not to ever contact me again and yet they did it anyway. It’s stressful but the law doesn’t really offer remedies.
Don’t get me wrong. I understand stalkers are problematic.
So are murderers, assaulters, rapers, tax evaders, automobile speed limit exceeders, and so on.
I just found it odd that there is “a month” for it, that’s all.
My husband’s sociopathic ex, who dumped him, used to tailgate me around in her car, follow me around photographing me, hide in the bushes and jump out to photograph me, drive aggressively in her car towards me. She even hit me a couple times. All that could be done were harassment charges. But she was humiliated by her actions in court and stopped. She moved a mile away from our house. Still, I have to constantly look over my shoulder because she’s dangerous and totally unpredictable. She also calls my husband’s work trying to get him fired. Everyone knows she’s crazy.
