An electric stove requires a 50 amp circuit. There isn’t always room in the panel for an additional 2 pole breaker, especially in a house that was designed not to need one. A huge number of houses in the NE only have a 100 amp or 150 amp panel. That’s total load. When houses have gas dryers, stoves, water heaters and central heating systems, the extra electric load wasn’t needed or planed for.
Let's add another 40 amp 240V circuit for the garage (or even 2x40A for a two-car family) for the Electric Vehicle Level 2 Charger(s).
