Over the years, we have given several people zero minutes to pack up their desks. We have someone pack it up for them and roll it outside to be picked up in the parking lot.

-Person is called in to manager’s office
-IT blocks all accounts immediately and forwards email etc. to manager temporarily
-Stuff is packed and taken outside to meet the “former” employee as they are escorted outside.

It isn’t always done this way, only when the person is seen as a risk.There are others that have been let go with plenty of notice and been able to continue working right up until that time.
