The state workers are causing a stink. Private workers— no big deal, but government workers, already in your camp—not so easy. Could make for some bad optics.
The problem is, they’re out of “other people’s money.”
My son is married to a PR woman and living near the capital. He says public electricity is a problem and he has been installing generators. As to the Independent vote it seems to loose each plebecite, Statehood usually wins, but in one recent vote 1/2 million voted without making a choice. I guess you could call it the on the fence vote.
