Who knows. It may just be panicky damage control, but you can bet that Gavin, and other potential rivals will do their best to exploit this to their own benefit.
As I said, here and on other threads, it’s not exactly clear what is going on, just yet.
But if you expect me to believe that Biden’s lawyers suddenly developed a conscience, and put that above their loyalty to protecting their client, forget it.
They are paid to protect Biden, not throw evidence out that not only condemns him, but bolsters his main rival as well.
Not just once, but twice now.
Maybe it’s all a plan to exonerate Trump, at least on this one charge. But I see that as much less likely.
