The obvious (to me anyway) lesson from history is being ignored.
When the cops and courts fail or fail to function to protect ‘society’, a power vacuum is formed.
These power vacuums are filled by Vigilance Committees. This has happened so many times in the past history of the US, I won’t list any - you can have a look for yourself.
Vigilance Committees are not a pretty thing and can easily get out of control, becoming a threat to the ‘society’ they were stupidly formed to protect.
