SAME THING EXCEPT YOURS IS AN OPEN ENDED TUBE, SORT OF A CANNOLO (FOUND OUT THAT’S THE SINGULAR FOR CANNOLI WHICH IS PLURAL...I USED TO SAY CANNOLIS UNTIL AN ITALIAN FRIEND CALLED ME AN IGNORANT AMERICAN AND TOLD ME THE RIGHT WAY. I TOLD HIM WHAT HE COULD DO WITH HIS CONNOLO! BUT, NOW I USE IT TO PRETEND I KNOW WHAT I’M SAYING. WORKS SOMETIMES...SO, WHERE WUZ I? RIGHT! CANNOLOING.) MANICOTTI IS A SOFT SHELLED
CANNOLO WITHOUT THE CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, OR CHOCOLATE CHIPS...FAGEDABOUDIT!...BUT YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
I HOPE YOURS WAS AS GOOD AS WHAT I HAD!...AND THERE’S PLENTY LEFT OVER FOR TOMORROW. ITALIAN FOOD IS WONDERFUL. ALL EUROPEAN PEASANT FOOD IS GREAT! WHEN YOUR LOT IN LIFE IS A SIDE OF BEEF YA DON’T HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO COOK, ALL YA GOTTA DO IS LEARN HOW TO MAKE A FIRE, BUT WHEN YER LOT IN LIFE IS PIGS FEET, OR A HEAD OF CABBAGE, OR SOME CHEESE, TOMATOES AND FLOUR, OR A SHEEP’S STOMACH, OR SOME KIDNEYS, YA GOTTA LEARN HOW TO MAKE THEM TASTE GOOD! SAUSAGE WASN’T CONCEIVED BY THE LORD OF THE MANOR!
YOU HAD MENTIONED ONCE (I THINK) THAT MANICOTTI WAS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE DISHES. IS THAT RIGHT?
