The rules passed with an 220-213 vote that saw just one Republican, Rep. Tony Gonzales of Texas, vote against it. Passage of the blueprint for how the GOP will run the House is the first sign of success for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy after the fight of his life last week for the speaker's gavel.

Very well !
Actually good news for once from McCarthy.
Its a win for the Freedom caucus and McCarthy.
And bad news for the Democrats,
When republicans are working together nothing can stop us.
Until the voters give them the Senate and the White House, along with the House of Representatives, then they suddenly stop themselves for some odd reason.
There is virtually nothing new about these rules.
Nearly all of them were in effect before the arm/wing flapping BAT the lout pelousy got power.
Our best hope is they stick together as a cohesive blocking majority. i.e., everything out of the senate is DOA in the House.
I know, but my point is whenever republicans do have the power to accomplish anything, they don’t, the repeal of Obamacare is a prime example. They voted to repeal it when they knew Obama would veto. Once Trump was elected they couldn’t bring themselves to do it. It’s all a B.S. dog and pony show.
What do you think will happen now with republicans threatening all of these investigations of democratic shenanigans? They will hold hearings, have some nice sounbites for YouTube ala Trey Gowdy of four years ago, and then….. nothing.
