Guess how Obamacare worked
Yes treatment is better...for sure. Quite a few years ago at OU..I attended a symposium....that the speaker had CF and she was 39 yrs. old...
Why didn’t he take her to the hospital himself?
No way if the ambulance was that late would I have waited.
WTF?! What ER are you talking about and where?
In the one I work in 20 minutes tops.
What hospital are you talking about and where?
In the ER I work in southern NJ we get busy but nobody is ‘’stacked up’’ and waiting for hours.
When things get busy the hospital, like others in the area go on ‘’divert’’.
“Call the arsonist to put out the fire. Good plan…”
They need a committee of arsonists to do it right this time!
;-)
When you depend on the government to save you, there is no plan B and you are toast.
Iowa City. The University of Iowa med center.
Similar wait times in Seattle where my Mom lives, and in other cities I’ve visited.
11 hours? Sorry but I find that hard to believe.
Clap for carers!
There have been far longer waits.
According to Iowa City Medical Centers stats the average ER wait time is 55 minutes.
It isn't hard to believe, because it is true.
Where?

See my reply #54.
Those are just for starters.
Keep in mind that the NHS is the UK’s largest employer, private or public sector, with over 1 million employees.
And still patients wait.
And wait.
And wait.
Oh. You’re talking about the UK. I thought you were talking about the US.
Nobody waits that long in the US.
Please, I’ve worked in two ER’s and I’m currently working in a third and NOBODY waits that long in an ER in the US.
That’s nonsense.
If you want a cure for insomnia listen to the endless Parliament debates on the NHS (on CSPAN).
They have been whining about “not enough funding” for decades.
That is because of the most basic concepts of economics.
If something is “free” then demand becomes infinite.
The “correct” amount of funding for the NHS therefore becomes infinity!
I never said they did.
But don’t get me started on US ERs.
We may not have 12+ waits for care, but I wouldn’t brag about quality.
Well, that makes a lot of sense. Because you have worked in a total of three ERs, no ERs in the U.S. have long waits of 8-12 hours. Consider yourself lucky.
