GO PUBLIC with everything.......That is the only way to do it.

Every witness to the committee should be granted full legal immunity provided by the House and House Speaker for anything said during the testimony or admitted as being done as part of the evidence fact-finding..... We all want to see folks pay a price for what they did. Not gonna happen and folks should get used to that. Better to let them say their piece, run them out of work and move on. Nothing is accomplished if they think there is prison time down the road and....they can’t plead the 5th. Does that stop them from lying, doubt it.

I agree.

The left controls the DOJ so there won’t be prosecutions. Exposure is the only tool available to the committee. They say that sunlight is the best disinfectant. Let the sun shine in.

I understand why he wants immunity for those who testify, but it will never work because they would open themselves up to a Bivens action and civil suits for violating individual rights using their office/authority to do so.

You can remove the possibility of criminal charges, but I don’t believe you can absolve those who testify from liability pursuant to a Bivens lawsuit.

It is an interesting question and I will follow to see what our resident legal eagles say. There are precedents where executive agency personnel can be immune from such a suit as are judiciary personnel so this would be an interesting case because those in the executive agencies were acting AGAINST and not for the purposes of the executive (Trump).
