Yes and no. 4 voted Present versus their earlier No vote/votes for other candidates like Biggs which lowered the threshold from 218 votes to 216 votes needed to win. So they didn’t vote for KM but they allowed him to win after talking with Trump and after getting the concessions they wanted.
I’m not sure how that drives a knife into them. Plus, everyone knew about the calls. I think it was a sincere thanks b/c it helped KM win/break the stalemate but I don’t think he ultimately will appreciate it—I just don’t think he is capable of anything more than pure weaselness.
When you are in a snake pit, there isn’t anything but snakes.
The difference between "totally dumb" and Trump is Billion$$ in the bank and the most accomplished President in the lifetime of any living ...name the dumb ass here.

I appreciate you helping explain last night that votes were CHANGED at the last second, that changed the outcome of the vote to adjourn, that I was so ticked off about.
I just watched a couple of videos, read a couple of explanations in the news today, and saw a CNN segment, that explained it in detail.
Gaetz masterfully did not vote on the 14th one when his name was called, but got his partners to set it up so that he was the last one left to vote, and his lone vote was then in position to swing the result one way or another.
This was about the time that McCarthy came up to where Gaetz was sitting, and they had a pretty tense exchange, with each pointing fingers at one another. Then, as a dejected McCarthy was walking away, realizing his plan to win on that 14th vote was toast, was when Rogers started shouting at Gaetz, and was pulled away. The “lunge” accusation is false, he was simply leaning towards Gaetz, but still several seats full of people away from him.
Then, the vote to adjourn began. It was all the way down to passing, with basically every vote cast, to the point the networks were already speaking of how damaging it was going to be to McCarthy that he was unable to win on the 14th, which he had been counting on, and that it would now be 3 more days until the next vote.
Apparently at this last minute McCarthy realized he had been outsmarted, and things weren’t going to get any better over the weekend, and gave in to whatever the last demands of Gaetz were.
At this point, Gaetz actually comes down to McCarthy, and they have a pleasant exchange, before McCarthy and and entourage of Republicans all rush up to the front to change their votes to NOT adjourn.
Somehow, none of the TV channels I was flipping between understood exactly what had been going on, and it’s taken until today for it to be fully figured out, so you deserve a lot of credit for understanding it at that exact moment.
Thanks again.
Dear Kevie,
All the tongue baths you’ve been given by the press for the past week just ended.
He sure did, when I think of where we would be if they hadn’t stolen his 2nd term I just feel ill.
Yep...I like how some of these posers want to give advise to the man who blew a entire stage full of professional career politicians off the stage.
You are welcome. Thank you for the detail—I did not know all of that and it helps fill in the blanks.
