Um, I don't believe McCarthy got ANY additional votes right after Trump's several endorsements. Seeing the disarray in this party really is something.
Maybe they should pass a rule of no insider trading.

If he can hold off thru next week and drag the rest of the House RINOs along to pass the negotiated Rules package good will have come from the past week. If he doesn’t there will be a prompt call to vacate his chair and the Dems will have to decide whether to defend it for him or not. Based on Jeffries’s speech last night I don’t think the Dems are ready yet to make that strategic move. Without their support the RINOs go back to Speakerless impotence because even under the carryover Pelosi rules 5 votes could call to vacate the Chair and last night showed we’d have at least 6.
I know! Now that’s an investment strategy that everyone needs to learn!

President Trump is in exactly the same position as many Heads of State of the many Nations of the World, he must engage in Diplomatic communication with Allies, Neutrals and Enemies.
He will sometimes speak Diplomatically and respectfully with the Heads of powerful groups he must deal with.
I suspect he knows Who's Who, but I don't have his ear or confidence.

McCarthy will not keep any promise he has made to the 20 republicans. None.
Whenever Trump isn't on stage talking about the stolen election, people should be asking, "Where's Trump? Why is nobody talking about the stolen election?"

I think what changed the dynamics late last night was all the Dems voting against adjournment, planning to brag about GOP failures. That motivated McCarthy to tell the 6 something enough to flip their 4
Other votes to Present, letting him win with one vote to spare.
Watch what happens when the House Rules Package to which McCarthy agreed gets defeated by the Democrats and just enough Republicans.
McCarthy will have the last laugh as he throws up his hands and says “Hey, I tried!”
And Mac being a RINO, that’s as far as the gratitude goes. Should we see another President Trump, don’t expect Kevin’s support.
