Jeffries or McCarthy? And why so?
I could care less about hunter. Get his father at least two impeachments on record. Three would even be better. Let’s do real work. If they do this, it will be a successful term. And stop with the military spending decrease. I’m sick of the military being screwed. How about we get rid of the heating oil federal subsidies? Why is the federal government paying for peoples heating oil in Massachusetts? I am so disappointed In FREEPERS going straight to the troops and expecting them to give up money. Quite disappointing.
I hope Congress doesn’t waste a bunch of time on investigations that would probably accomplish nothing.
More political grandstanding so politicians can get their face on tv isnt going to do anything for fixing problems in this country. I made the effort to write and email my Congress critters and stated in no uncertain terms that should they waste time on investigations that will do nothing that my vote and my campaign contribution would go to someone else.
But I would wager good money that we will see time wasted on investigations that will accomplish nothing. And the money they will waste could be spent on providing benefits that actually make a difference in people’s lives.
As an example how about they add coverage for hearing aids to medicare. Does anybody realize how many people, especially senior citizens, can’t afford hearing aids and thus live in silence or have diminished hearing because they can’t afford the $3,000 plus cost for hearing aids?? Do we really want our senior citizens, of which I am one, to not be able to hear yet we piss away money on investigations, legislative jaunts overseas, money for walking trails, and so on.
Those are the issues our Congress should tackle and fix. But we won’t see that due to the stupid stuff they allocate money to.
The military is what convinced me to go right. LBJ sent me to Vietnam in 1966. Both in basic training and then in Vietnam we saw first hand the excessive waste of money and manpower.
LBJ and his whiz kids believed that if you throw enough money and manpower at Vietnam, or the War on the Poor in Poverty and the problem is bound to be solved.
No strategy, no thought about winnable tactics. The children of LBJ still seem to be in control....certainly in the swamp, but beyond that, in many parts of society.
Take the desire to win an election. Some apparently think they deserve to win because they are right. They have no concept of the relevance of strategy and tactics.

Of course there is waste in the military and if they’d go after that it’d be cool. But they go after troop pay and benefits every time. Retirees especially get hit.
We will see how long these lasts. Congress has ignored rule changes in the past. Such as citing the constitution passage that authorizes a bill, providing time to review the bill, etc. All went by the wayside in less than six months. Pubbie leadership is not trustworthy.
IF they carry that thru—IT is BIG.
In deference to Minority Leader “Hakeem” Jeffries, should you meet him make sure you address him by pronouncing his name in proper dialectical fashion, with a deep guttural inflection from the throat – preferably along with a suitable discharge…
