One TV commercial irks me no end. It is a commercial asking for money to "save Holocaust survivors". It shows these old ladies wearing babushkas, people living in hovels, barely sentient, and we are told they are starving!
The TV commercial gives the impression that these folks were freed from some concentration camp just yesterday. Unmentioned is the fact that there are dozens of agencies and the government of Israel which has been handling these cases for years. There is no need for some parasite organization to claims they are feeding Holocaust victims.
I have seen those commercials. What gets me is that, as hard as times are in this country, they have the brass to air those spots.
I feel for the elderly in those spots, but we have to care for our own first.

That commercial irks me too and is exactly what the perverts who run that commercial are doing. They use the Holocaust as a sympathetic tool to tug at the heartstrings of generous Americans or others solely to enrich their own bank account. Their misinfo creates charitable mistrust. The worst kind of parasites.
