What other viable option is there besides McCarthy?

I, personally, have simply put the whole thing in perspective. The solution to our conundrum is not political. That’s why I’ve moved to Galt’s Knob, waiting out the implosion, which will be soon coming, I believe.

I said earlier, it will eventually be McCarthy unfortunately. The swamp rats are entrenched.

All of this is theater and airing of grievances, but was necessary. We now have to extricate ourselves from this sloppy mess. Accept reality but extract some concessions to get more power for the conservative minority wing of the larger and lefter majority GOP.

Precisely.. McCarthy isn't perfect, but I can't think of anyone else better who wants it and would get at least 218 votes.

And all it would take for us to end up with a radical leftist as Speaker instead is for the Dems to peel off about a half-dozen rinos, who are getting tired and will vote for Jeffries just for this whole thing to be done with. That's too high a price to pay pursuing an ideal that isn't there.
