Let it play out. McCarthy is Paul Ryan II. He won't do a damn MAGA thing. If Ryan had played ball fair and square, we wouldn't be having a border crisis now. Why should we expect McCarthy do better than his mentor Paul Ryan.

Effectively, a total shutdown of the legislative branch. There may be some marginal virtue in that circumstance, but it will leave Joe Stolen issuing directives in the form of Executive Orders, which in the absence of any other legislative initiatives, effectively become the law of the land.
