While the earlier votes were in progress, the annoyingly wimpy “moderate” a-hole WJR radio host had a guest and told him “Americans are watching all this and they’re believing what the Democrats said that the Republicans can’t get it together to be leaders. How are people supposed to vote for them again if they can’t even agree among themselves?”
Key to this is the announcer and guest seem to believe total lockstep unity with no back talk to the Dem leaders——learned from Nazis and Communists by the way, means “good government.”
If totalitarians like those two face dissidents the dissidents die or go to re-education camps after their families are threatened by goons. The opposition to Stalin or Mao ended up dead.
That is the Dems’ overall goal——woke or you’re off Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, television panels and anywhere else you might vainly dream of “freedom of speech.”
That is NOT my idea of “good government.”

They will laugh just as hard at the GOP if McCarthy is elected. They WANT him in the position because he is a Dem with an R behind his name. Sam same, no difference.

If the Democrats didn't support McCarthy, they wouldn't have saved him from further embarrassment by agreeing to a recess.
The Democrats know what most Republicans didn't until just before Christmas, like McConnell (and most of the GOP leadership), McCarthy is a crypto-Democrat.
The Democrats have always been the party of government, every State's capital and D.C. vote 90%+ Democrat, reflecting the politics of State and Federal Government workers.
Jim Nordan would be good as Speaker. If the GOPe votes for a Democrat as Speaker that would be good as well because the backlash would create a new political party and that would be good as well.
