Saw Biggs on Bannon few weeks back. I didn’t expect him to be impressive but i was quite wrong. I was surprised how strong and seasoned he is.
Mike Adams, who is a very bright insider, predicted recently McCarthy would go down while revealing it’s all about himself. Mike, whose intellect and integrity I admire greatly, says it will be Scalise.
And Mike is not connected in any way with Steve Scalise.

Three rounds and the same man gets put up for the position a fourth time.
Doing the same thing and expecting different results = insanity.
GOPe in a nutshell.

> Idiots - Democrats are laughingUm no,they would be laughing if McCarthy becomes speaker.
If the Democrats didn't support McCarthy, they wouldn't have saved him from further embarrassment by agreeing to a recess.
The Democrats know what most Republicans didn't until just before Christmas, like McConnell (and most of the GOP leadership), McCarthy is a crypto-Democrat.
The Democrats have always been the party of government, every State's capital and D.C. vote 90%+ Democrat, reflecting the politics of State and Federal Government workers.

We won’t end up with a democrat speaker unless a bunch of GOP members vote for a democrat or only vote present making the required # lower. Has to by 50% + 1.

“At this rate, Jordan will be elected speaker in 198 more rounds.”
And he may still not even vote for himself. LOL

McCarthy affirmed, per Rep Lauren Bohbert, that they’d be stripped of committee assignments, if they didn’t vote for McCarthy-Luntz.
He said, per Lauren, Your district votes for you, the Conference votes for your committee assignments.
What a smug tool, he is.

Interesting scenario.
I heard one of the newbie congress critters today saying that the GOP renegades keep moving the goal posts. They agree to something one day, and change their demands the next day. Not good, if true.

I’ve been on free republic for a very long, long time and I’m getting a little sick of the ad hominem attacks. I’m not an idiot and I don’t expect to be called an idiot on this forum. I’m allowed to voice my opinion and if you don’t like it criticize it with some thought otherwise keep your mouth shut.
Oh, this is rich.
So says the poster calling those standing against McCarthy "Idiots".

Jim made a speech a couple hours ago...told those damn 19 to vote for McCarthy. Apparently the 19 are getting their jollies with their vote. They’re illogical.
