We’re always on the brink of extinction from something. Now we’re back to the “Population Bomb”? What happened to the hole in the Ozone, the new Ice Age, and Global Warming? I don’t know whether to buy more winter clothes, get new swim trunks and scuba gear, or put sun screen on wheat fields and guard them with a shotgun. Make up your mind already!
The ozone hole was the trial run for global warming. It assessed the degree people would care enough to change consumption habits, and most importantly, it got ‘scientists’ to the Antarctic to ostensibly study the ozone hole along with their ice field studies.
The Antarctic research for ozone funded the global warming farce. I bet the powers that be wet their pants when they realized how gullible the public was. Sending European commie graduate students to the US to research under was probably in the works for years.
I can’t 100% validate this but my experience at one such university in the 1980s suggests this. “The ozone hole is getting bigger/getting smaller” and by the way we discovered carbon dioxide levels in the ice cores incresing as time goes on”. Game on.
