1) At present murder of babies should, like any other murder, be prohibited by STATE law. It's no longer a federal judicial matter but a State criminal matter.
2) GOP doesn't know how to frame an issue. And, many GOP critters actually favor murdering babies. As long as we let baby-killers define the issue, it will be difficult. It's not about "choice" it's about murder.
It gave the minority forever Reps like Lindley a chance to kill the wave by claiming they wes ould seek a nationwide abortion ban knowing full well the effect that would have on Dem leaning or undecided voters.

I agree. The Whitmer campaign pounded Tudor Dixon on her stand of no abortion even in cases of rape or incest. The abortion issue was also key in giving the Dems full control of the state legislature for the first time in 40 years.

Absolutely correct. I believed that before Trump said so.
And it is also never in the interest of a society to dictate these kinds of personal choices, whether you agree with them or not. Yet many states did just that and it hurt the GOP big time. People do not like being dictated to which is what happened in many states. The people had NO say in what they wanted done. Stupid moves on the politicians part. But they were playing to their base and ignored the other people who live in their states and might not have agreed with what they instituted.
I had a lot of people tell me as I was working on a couple of campaigns in my district they were unhappy with the Republican response to Dobbs and were not voting for them. And I live in a very red state.

We aren’t talking about suicide, the woman in question isn’t making a personal decision on her own death, she is killing someone else.
Just as the gop formed to get rid of slavery and polygamy, it was always a national issue.
States rights go out the window on life and liberty. Life is life. That is why so many prolife people have been aghast at the state argument over killing babies.

Well... there’s ALSO the thing about how the Constitution was only made for a- moral people, and vacuuming the brains out of an innocent preborn baby that is developing inside its mother’s womb, which is viewed as an INCONVENIENCE, seems to contradict those moral principles.

All the campaign commercials from the democrats here in Nevada were about abortion. They were successful in the Senate campaign but not the governor campaign. Hmmm?
