Exactly the source of my puzzlement. Whatever Donald Trump was or is now, had been part of his character traits long before January 6th, 2021, and the events of that day did not reveal any quirks or idiosyncrasies that were not already present and previously revealed. Donald J. Trump is who he is, one of the most transparent of men ever to occupy the Oval Office. His motives and objectives were neither veiled nor devious, a tremendous departure from the normal sort of affairs of state and personal integrity. But like the force of nature that he is, he could throw an enormous amount of energy in gaining those objectives, often in an uncompromising manner, and that literally frightened many of the denizens of the DC swamp. He was foreclosing many of their options, while making wide, straight and relatively smooth the path to more individual initiative and opportunities for the working people of America.
A Golden Age was at hand, and it was driven into the ground for totally specious reasons and to satisfy many selfish motives, using fraud, deceit, and open chicanery.
