Every rural college town attracts weirdos. Our school had a guy who shot at trains. My brother went to school in rural Maine. They skinned animals in the dorm bathrooms.
The world is full of lost souls.

A few decades ago, a University of Minnesota (in downtown Minneapolis) ran a trapline and was skinning muskrats in his dorm room.
Phil Robinson, duck dynasty was a phenomenal football player. Terry Bradshaw was his second string quarter back. Robinson wasn’t interested in the college scene or the pro football life. The coach went to try to talk him into staying in college etc.Phil was cleaning a deer in the living room of his apartment. I do not think Phil is a weirdo
