Among the travelers heading home for the holidays at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport are people escaping violence, poverty and persecution.
Now, they're catching a new flight to possibly start a new life.
The number of people illegally crossing the southern border into Arizona continues to grow, and many of them are being bused daily to the Phoenix airport, where they are then sent to destinations across the country.
Airport officials say they see between 200 and 300 migrants every day, dropped off by the busload from border officials or NGOs from Yuma.
One man who traveled from Cuba is hoping to get to Miami. When asked why he made the dangerous journey to the U.S., he said, "Like all Cubans, it's the American dream."
Another family said that once they crossed into Yuma, they were processed by immigration in under 24 hours. Next thing they knew, they were on a bus to Sky Harbor.
Southwest Airlines handed them their ticket to Tampa, but it's not until tomorrow. They're spending the night in Phoenix.

I sincerely hope they spend it on the street in freezing weather. Who are these darn NGOs who are making it possible for hordes of these criminals, who happily break our laws, to get sped to the head of the line, get free airfare, etc. when legal immigrants often wait years in line to do it the right way? Why is criminal behavior being richly rewarded, to the detriment of us all? Perhaps people need to seriously reconsider their donations to these charities!

I flew from San Antonio to Portland via Phoenix, I and 3 others were the only legal citizens on the flight. Late night mid week flight, I won’t take anymore of the those.
How is this any different from Abbott or DeSantis sending illegals to sanctuary cities?
If Republican Governors want to relocate illegals that somehow is a crime against humanity. But if it’s done with the approval of the federal government then that’s okay.

Bus loads are dropped at SAT (San Antonio) and spend the night in the lobby, getting their phones and whatever they need to move along. The planes out of SAT are full.

CA used to be a GOP state but because of massive illegal immigration, it is now solid blue. And the GOP is letting it happen.
