Not relevant to the OP, but the time zones in Idaho are not based upon an E/W paradigm, but rather a north/south orientation. There are plenty of parts of North Idaho that are farther east than Boise that are in the Pacific Time zone. Most of the State north of Riggins is on Pacific Time. It’s based upon the mountainous terrain separating the panhandle from Southern Idaho and the fact that the most populous parts of North Idaho are considered a part of the Spokane MSA.
