EL PASO, Texas — For months, migrants from Nicaragua and Colombia, toddlers on their shoulders and knapsacks on their backs, have been wading across the shallow waters of the Rio Grande near El Paso and forming lines to turn themselves in to U.S. border authorities. Farther west, in Arizona, migrants from Russia, India and South America have been passing through gaps in the border wall and surrendering to U.S. agents.
None of them have been held back by a nearly 3-year-old public health measure, known as Title 42, that was billed as an attempt to effectively close the border against the soaring numbers of migrants unlawfully entering the United States. They are not being barred from making an asylum claim; they are not being expelled to Mexico.
Migrants are lining the sidewalks in El Paso.
The 2.4 million Border Patrol encounters with migrants in the 2022 fiscal year that ended Sept. 30 represented a record high. And it is probably no accident that the steepest increases were among migrants not subject to Title 42. There was a nearly 2,000% increase in the number of Colombians encountered compared with the previous fiscal year; Indians increased by 607%; Cubans by 471%; Russians by 430%; and Nicaraguans by 227%.
Shelter operators in Arizona have also seen a change in the number and nationalities of migrants entering the country. Joy Tucker, who has coordinated the kitchen at the Casa Alitas shelter since 2019, said the facility in those days was receiving a few hundred migrants daily, mainly from Central America. This month, the arrivals hit about 1,000 in a single day, coming from more than 35 countries, as far away as Albania and Uzbekistan — countries whose nationals are not subject to Title 42.

The purpose of having no border is to overwhelm White voters and culture. It will not stop. Once DEMs get complete control of government there will be a low bar amnesty and we will have a one party system. Virtually none of these people are legitimate refugees. Even if told to leave by a judge they won’t. They will just move to a sanctuary city and live happily ever after.
Since Biden became President, 5 million unvetted, unvaxed illegals have enter the USA and distributed throughout the Country. Many of the illegals have the new China Virus which China cannot get control of, the new Pandemic may make the Black Plague look like a teaparty.

I find the article odd . When I read it this morning I thought there is more coming that will explain why the NYT published this.
We need to invoke Article 44 of the Refugee Convention to get out from under it (which takes one year).
I’m now having my doubts about DeSantis since he has not called for Article 44 invocation.
Trump never called for Article 44 invocation as far as I know.
Jokes aside, this is a disgrace. It’s a disgrace to the people who are flooding in. They are put out on the streets. They are freezing. Many are being exploited by smugglers and their enablers on both sides of the border. Lethal drugs are flooding in daily by smugglers hidden among all the other people - it’s just a numbers game for the cartels they know X will get through out of Y attempts every day. They probably have mathematicians and topographers on the payroll along with cops and politicians (probably on both sides of the border). It damages the legally established communities and the country as a whole. And there is barely sustenance level help for the people who get in. It’s not an act of Charity to let poor people come in and live in the streets.
If Biden wants lots of immigrants, there is a way to do it. Close the border and build lots of walls. Then people can get in line, fill out some forms, get finger printed, background check, take tests including medical and aptitude. What this Administration is doing is deliberate chaos that causes mindless suffering for countless people.
Like having a screen door on a submarine.
I was planning on a trip to Italy, but I’m unlikely to go this year since Italy may not let in possibly infected Americans.

Democrat cities are being inundated. Even Democrats are screeching now. This is why despicable Justice Roberts and the Supreme Court ruled to keep Title 42. This was practicality, not any “law” this or that.
Flooded Democrat states and cities are howling now. They cannot finance these fake, lying asylum seekers and fake refugees. So now it is permissible for the New Yawk Times to post this article. Trump was right!
And this and more, will happen to every hospital in that region of the country and everywhere else they settle.

Reform it into a post card, collect $500.00 a head and have them out the door in 15 minutes with a court date 18 - 24 months later.
After all, "migration" (illegal aliens) is the business they are in.
Business is good but it could be better and last longer as well.
Now if they could just figure out how to collect a fee on the back end of that 18 - 24 months and a monthly fee after that for "continuing assistance" then things would be great.

He tried to eliminate the federal money that went to all of them, to put them all out of business but he was blocked, so he figured out another way. Just lower the amount allowed in.
