Ramat Migron declared closed military zone, families evicted, hours after govt. sworn-in

Security forces raided the community of Ramat Migron in the Binyamin region Thursday night and declared the outpost a closed military zone on the orders of Judea and Samaria Division commander Brig. Gen. Avi Blot.

In addition, the policemen knocked on the houses of the families in the outpost and threatened the residents that if they did not vacate their homes within minutes, they would be arrested and taken to the police station.

The police raid this evening follows a series of raids that took place last week on the nearby outpost of Oz Zion, during which police officers broke into the homes of the families and forcibly evicted the women and children from the community.

Three families currently live in each community, along with a core of youths who are involved in the development of the area and raise flocks of sheep...

Bibi's up to his old tricks. That's why I despise him. Only I despise the Bennett-Lapid now-defunct attempt at replacing him even more. Israeli politics blow. So do American, with the notable, awesome and hopeful exception of one Donald J. Trump and his small band of merry congressional and state rebels.

I’m sorry, but I don’t get this. Sounds like 6 families in two different communities were raided because they live in an area considered military territory? Are they Jews, Arabs? What about everyone else living in those communities? Were these people allowed to live there prior to yesterday? Why arrest them?

None of this makes sense. Can you add some clarity and context to this?

I don’t know what’s behind all of this, but my inclination is that 1) Bibi doesn’t want to let three (six) families and some shepherds become a source of tension and potential conflict and 2) he gets to look like he’s dismantling settlements. Maybe domestically he can also say defending them is a resource drain. And if he left them to fend for themselves they are a target for attacks which will cause the government domestic turmoil.

“Trump supports BiBi.”

BiBi sleeps at Jared’s place when he’s in town.

I don’t know for sure, but I think they are what they call “outposts”. People (Jews) set up on land which is otherwise not used for much, which Israel has not officially annexed into its own territory, but which Israel does have military occupation over as a result of its victory against Jordan in 1967.

Heard it all. They were managing there for years during the Bennett-Lapid government. There is no way that they suddenly became a problem just when a new government came in. I have some experience with Arabs, and the biggest provocation you can give them (besides wiping your arse on the Koran in front of them) is giving them concessions. They’ll want more. And Bibi knows this, too. So alleviating tensions is not it. He’s appeasing the American administration. Period. He did the same thing before to appease Obama, much to the grief of some friends of mine who lived in a hilltop outpost. And that is despicable.

“Bibi’s up to his old tricks.”

Care to say which “old tricks” he is up to? Bibi is a close ally of the United States, despite being spit on by Biden and crew.

“And if he left them to fend for themselves they are a target for attacks which will cause the government domestic turmoil.”

The people being evicted are activists illegally building there and they have been removed at least four times. The outpost was previously destroyed on August 11, and then again on August 15 after it had been rebuilt.

Efforts to establish a settlement at Ramat Migron were begun most recently in the autumn of 2021 by hardcore settler activists. The outpost was demolished, rebuilt, and then demolished again in November 2021, then twice this year in August alone. They know they are not supposed to be there. The land is made up primarily of groups of Israeli youth, the Ramat Migron outpost covers a huge stretch of land, around 2,000 dunams, most of which is private Palestinian property.

In their words: “It is sad and infuriating to see how the State of Israel is fighting Jewish pioneers who want to settle the land and fight against the Arab takeover.”

They are trespassing on private land and have been tossed a number of times before. They were not attacked, they were evicted.

Destroying hilltop outposts in order to appease the POTUS. Did it for Dubya. Did it for Obama. Now doing it for Brandon. Bibi is a close ally of the US, alright. But since he’s our PM, he’s also our enema.

A lot of folks over here just don’t understand the crafty nature of Mr. Netanyahu it’s so easy to knee jerk to the mainstream media hype of “Right” verus “Left” without understanding how moderate many on the “Right” ultimately are.

It took me decades to get past the “Conservative” or “Right” hype about so many politicians.

Eventually I figured out that all those “Conservatives” were really Moderates putting on a drag show.

The fakeness of George W. Bush the straw that finally broke the camel’s back with me.

Did they buy the land from it’s registered owner and have a deed to the land that they were living on? Or is it any different than someone going out into one of our national forests or parks and just building a house and telling everyone to go suck it?

“telling everyone to go suck it”

The settlement is just another terrorist group in the area that is under the hilltop youth movement.

Israel’s Hilltop Youth movement has been active for years, establishing Jewish settlement outposts on barren West Bank hills without bothering to get permission from the Israeli government.

The Hilltop Youth occasionally received attention, usually when they damaged Palestinian property in the West Bank. But now they are in the headlines after a group of them raided an Israeli military base. Dozens of extremists broke into an Israeli army base vandalizing army property. It shocked the country, and the Israeli government could no longer ignore what was happening.

Israel has charged five settlers as part of a promised clampdown on extremist Jewish groups. The Hilltop Youth seek to settle what they claim is all of the land of Israel, though it includes territory in the occupied West Bank, which the Palestinians want for their future state. Major problem is that Palestine is owned by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO founded in 1964) who has claimed numerous terrorist actions with the most known being the killing of 11 Olympic athletes in the 1972 games at Munich. More are the killing of 21 schoolchildren at Ma’alot in 1974; the death of 35 people and wounding of 85 in an attack on Israeli tourist buses along the Haifa-Tel Aviv coastal highway in 1978; the hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruise ship in 1985 and the murder of disabled American Jewish passenger Leon Klinghoffer. And they are not alone as Fatah-related militia groups, such as the Tanzim, Force 17 and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade played a leading role in Palestinian violence during the Second Intifada, including suicide terrorist attacks, ambushes, and shootings of Israeli vehicles and facilities. This is what Israel is trying to get away from so they throw them out as fat as they try to take land and create a pathway to more terrorism.

Politicians on the “right” in Israel are the ones who keep giving away land. Begin gave the Sinai to Egypt, which made it easier for the terrorrists to smuggle arms into Ghaza. Sharon gave Ghaza to the Palis, which ended up a bloody mess with Hamas coming out on top. It’s been attack tunnels and missiles ever since. Bibi gave Hebron to the PA, except for three percent of it. A thrill a minute ever since.

The Politicians on the “left,” on the other hand, have won all the wars, while talking about piece and giving away nothing since Perez arranged for Rabin to be murdered.

Bibi makes great speeches to the UN, but they ring hollow here when he destroys hilltop outposts. The youths in these outposts are heroes, heirs of the spirit of the underground fighters and refugee smugglers of an earlier era, standing tall against the Arab terrorists on the one hand, and the bulldozers sent by Bibi on the other. If I weren’t a tenderfoot old geezer, I’d join them. Since I can’t do that, I can at least deplore Bibi for having his pet leftard whom he’ll have heading the Civil Authority send in Druze with bulldozers to destroy their homes.

It’s amazing how many folks are gaslit by a “Fakeservative Movement” including Fakeservative Media out there that is ultimately “Moderate” and “Centrist”.

It’s good to breathe fresh air when one talks about “Conservative” politicians to know the truth about them.
