From 10 to 15 raking leaves, shoveling snow, laboring for a stone mason, and cutting grass, was my work.

From 16 to 18 add pumping gas, and restaurant kitchen work.

All thru college, waiting tables, tending bar, and cooking line in restaurants.

Then right to full time job after college, married the following October. My kids all the approximate same progression and work ethic. Last one graduated a semester early with a full time job in software engineering in the company's London, England division.

Work ethic is a trait from home.

The misery is by choice. Every store, restaurant, gas station in my town has Help Wanted signs. Starting wage $16/hour. No takers.

I worked for 79/cents per hour washing dirty cooking pots in a hospital kitchen in 1961. That was my first job, while working on my master’s degree in engineering. It was good because I could eat in the employee cafeteria for 39 cents. Saved me buying groceries and cooking.

Biden pays them a lot more to stay home than work it’s where the problem starts he was voted in.

Correct. So why the snide remark about me not feeling sorry for the poor folks? No one was poorer than me when I arrived in USA as a poor student. I worked for 79 cents/hour washing large dirty cooking pots in University Hospital in Iowa city.
I had all of $25 in my pocket when I began college. B y studying hard, I was able to snag tuition scholarship for foreign students by outscoring all my competition.

No, I do not feel sorry for any poor folks in USA. This country has more opportunities to advance financially than any other country.

Work ethic is a trait from home.

**************

Work ethic might be the most important trait.

Both my wife & I have huge extended families, so I tell every youngster one thing:

“Always be working to maintain your cash flow.”

Reread it it’s about how Biden is paying people to stay home rather then work for a living period.

If they want to get ahead in life they can’t do it by living off the governments tit they have to climb the ladder like everyone else.
(I worked for 79 cents/hour washing large dirty cooking pot)
Ever work in a slaughter house for 1.25 an hour life is hard for all most everyone earn your way is the only way.
