It seemed to me people were just having fun with the cheese and sisters biting moose on this thread. Hard for Freepers to turn down a good moose joke.
But I’ve noticed people turning more and more surly and mean here in general. It keeps getting worse. FR did not use to be like this. Sure, there were some spats here and there, but we used to be a lot more polite and helpful and respectful of each other. I keep hoping we’ll go back to that.
I’ve noticed the same and hope it turns back as well.
There are several causes: Covid responses, vax responses, the Ukraine War, having the 2020 election stolen have all divided us.
I think if we can put some of this behind us and focus on where the country needs to go, things will change.
Re: 104 - The US (and FR) are a very different place. There are an increasing number of FReepers that simply cannot articulate and defend a position without racial slurs, personal insults and threats to other FReepers, etc. Props to the Mods for deleting those posts.
I hope we get back to some more discussion and less insults and threats. I’m not hopeful we will.
