I don't care if people want to be lard-asses. It's their business if they are too stupid and lazy to improve their lives. But they can't say it's in their genes and/or there's nothing that works (that's what they used to say).
All that said, there are some things that are still a matter of personal responsibility. Weight/health are one (or two).
As an aside, I have an old girlfriend I speak with regularly. She has always had a problem with her weight. When I mention keto and exercise, she just gets mad. She has health problems due to her weight (she's just pleasingly plump) and even her doctor has suggested keto and exercise.
She spends over $500/month on blood pressure meds and they really don't work, but she refuses to consider alternatives just because...(i.e., no reason, just stubborn).

Some day you’ll learn that criticizing someone’s weight — especially a woman’s — is not a winning proposition. Add a condescending and self-righteous tone to it... yikes!
