People want to know why he’s “Pope Emeritus”, and not Pope.
Because he was "gravely ill" and could not fulfill his office - 9 YEARS ago.
In other words, he was not willing to serve the Marxist left, attack capitalism, evangelise the "climate change" cult and wash and kiss the feet of Muslim scum, while demanding more of them be welcomed in to destroy Europe.
But isn’t that exactly what he did by retiring?
Yes, and it’s probably the greatest tragedy of my lifetime. He started by asking people to pray that he wouldn’t flee from “the wolves” and ended by doing exactly that and in the process turned us over to them.
Then again what do I know? Clearly the wolves go where the sheep are, look what’s happened here in the US in a very short time period.
In other words, a Vatican Coup d’Etat.
I have so much to thank Catholics for. I know they will get through this.
That was no retirement.
Maybe, but I’ve wondered if there was a threat, not to himself but to some of his flock, which he avoided by stepping down.
It was that or die.
I don’t know. He could have delegated his duties to others who he trusted. Which is basically what John Paul did during his last years.
That's not what I'm saying. He clearly was threatened.
OK. I understand your point now. I thought you were referring to his health.
now he is in real trouble
I read that in Willi Cicci's voice in The Godfather: Part II concerning Clemenza's "heart attack."
